Turn your graph stitches into a yarn plan.
Enter each color’s stitch count from your graph pattern and the yardage on your yarn label. We’ll estimate the yarn needed and round each color up to a whole skein. Add a price per skein if you’d also like a cost estimate.
Use the yardage shown on your yarn label.
Leave blank if you only want yarn quantities.
Optional cushion for tension, joins, and waste.
Pattern colors

Why skein counts vary
Different manufacturers put different yardage in a skein. That’s why this calculator asks for the yardage on your yarn label instead of assuming every skein is the same.
How we round
Each color is rounded up separately to the next whole skein. This helps make sure you have enough of every color, not just enough total yardage.
Planning estimate: Yarn usage varies with stitch size, tension, yarn construction, joins, borders, and finishing. When matching dye lots matters, purchasing an extra skein is always the safest choice.
